This cluster employs  2 Trauma Counselors who provide ongoing counseling for survivors of Domestic Violence (DV) , both of whom are are based at the Hospital (Tshilidzini and Donald Fraser Hospital), Sexual Violence (SA) and to People Living with HIV & Aids (PLWH & A).

Positive Support Servives also runs Support Groups for the above. Individuals who are given Post Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) medication are visited twice by Survivor Support Officers (SSO) to monitor PEP compliance and side effects. Five fieldworkers are attached to the PSS team, two of whom are working at the 2 ARV clinics where they are responsible for visiting caregivers of children on ART.

Another two are working in the Zero Tolerance Villages Alliance (ZTVA) to make sure that Orphaned and Vulnerable Children (OVC) are receiving care and support, and one fieldworker is located at Vhutshilo Mountain School to help OVC and children on ART.

Family Violence & Sexual Assault (FVSA) Trauma Centres

Rape survivors and victims of physical violence are urged not to wash or change their clothes, but to rush to the nearest of our Trauma Centres, situated at Tshilidzini and Donald Fraser Hospitals. These Centres provide a One-Stop, 24-hour service. At these centres, our clients can make a statement to the police (if they wish), receive counselling and practical advice from our trained debriefers, and be medically examined at any time of the day or night. We never close! Rape survivors are also offered anti-retroviral therapy (ART), at no cost, to reduce the risk of HIV infection, and are visited at their homes by our Nurses and Field Workers, who give further support where needed.
